Principal Mrs. Heather Buckley

I am so honored to be a part of the Gator family! I know that at Groves, students' social and academic growth are of the upmost importance and am excited to be a part of that community.  

I began my career at Wylie ISD as a paraprofessional in 2004. After graduating from Texas A&M Commerce, I taught kindergarten and 3rd grade. For 4 years, I served as the Advanced Academics and GT specialist for Wylie ISD before returning to the campus as the assistant Principal at Birmingham for three years.

My husband, Jeff, and I both grew up here and are Wylie ISD graduates! We have been married since 2005 and are blessed with two children, Jordan and Alli.

I am looking forward to an amazing school year with your kiddos!

I am so proud and excited to be a part of the Groves family! Groves Elementary is a special place, where students ALWAYS come first, and teachers create a nurturing and challenging learning environment. Students know they are loved and are able to achieve excellence because of it. At Groves, we help ALL students to overcome challenges and achieve excellence every day in every classroom!
